Intern, Assistant to the Director

Position Summary: The Intern will provide high-level administrative, organizational, and communications support to the Executive Director. This role involves direct interaction with industry members, board members, and vendors, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the association.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Support: Manage the ED’s calendar, schedule appointments, draft correspondence, and prepare briefing materials for meetings.
  • Board & Committee Governance: Assist in preparing board documents, scheduling quarterly meetings, taking minutes, and managing follow-up action items.
  • Membership Services: Act as a point of contact for members, updating and maintaining the membership database and processing inquiries.
  • Events & Logistics: Support the planning and execution of annual conferences, networking events, and committee meetings.
  • Administrative & Financial Tasks: Manage email correspondence, organize digital/physical files, and assist with invoice processing.
  • Communications: Assist with social media updates, website content maintenance, and email newsletters to members.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma, Associates Degree or higher.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or database software.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for professional interaction with industry stakeholders.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience: Previous internship or office experience is a plus.
